Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Muhammad Athar Rasool (“I”, “me”) collects through athar.pk, why, and what you can do about it. It is a small personal site with no accounts or logins, so the list is short.
1. What I collect
Information you choose to send me. The contact form does not store anything on this site: it opens your own email app with your name, email, company and message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send there. Whatever you include in that email, or in any email to me, reaches me at hello@athar.pk.
If you book a call, Calendly collects the details its booking form asks for, such as your name, email and preferred time, and shares them with me so the call can happen.
Usage information. Like most websites, this one records basic technical data when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site and IP address. This comes from Google Analytics and from the services that host and protect the site, described below.
2. How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about your project.
- To schedule, confirm or move a call you booked.
- To understand which pages are read so I can improve the site.
- To keep the site secure, fast and free of abuse.
3. Services that process data for this site
I do not sell your personal information, and I share it only with the services needed to run the site:
- Google Analytics measures visits using cookies. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
- Cloudflare provides DNS, delivery and security for the domain, which means it processes your IP address and request details to serve the page and block attacks.
- Sevalla hosts the site files and may keep standard server logs.
- Calendly handles call bookings under its own privacy policy.
- Your email provider and mine carry any email you send me.
Fonts and images are served from athar.pk itself, so no third-party font service sees your visit. Links to LinkedIn, Calendly and company websites take you to sites with their own policies.
4. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart, and Cloudflare may set a cookie that is needed for security. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site still works without them.
5. How long I keep it
Emails stay in my inbox for as long as they are useful for the conversation or a resulting engagement, or as long as the law requires. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.
6. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and the services above apply their own security controls. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so please do not email passwords or payment details.
7. Your choices
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing hello@athar.pk. You can also stop analytics tracking with the browser settings or add-on mentioned above.
8. Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
